Insert Image is our first browser Addon. This Addon does as the title suggests. It inserts and uploads images from Photobucket, Flickr, and Imageshack.
Most of the time when you want to insert an image into a forum post, craigslist listing, etc.., you have to leave the page you are on and go to one of these Image Hosts where you have uploaded your image to and get the image/link code. Then you have to go back to the site you are inserting it into and paste it there.
Insert Image will automatically detect pages that you might want to insert an image into. A small bar will appear at the bottom of your browser window (shown below). The bar will allow you to switch between Image Hosts, view your previously uploaded images and albums, click and insert the image code into your post, and upload images to the Image Host. All this can be done without ever leaving the page you are on.
This Addon came about from my own personal frustration of repeating the above tasks over and over again. After implementing a solution on a Bulletin Board site that I administer, I began to think of how I could implement this for other users across the web without website administrators having to implement what I did. And, that’s how the idea for Insert Image came about.
